It’s a little-known fact that during the Harmonist days, the area was known for its production of fine silk! Well, the Silkworm returns to the Iron Horse Theatre in September.
Patterned after “The Moth” in New York City, this “Silkworm” is aimed at teaching writers how to “spin” a good story, not fine thread. It consists of 5 classes Saturdays from 10 to Noon beginning on Sept. 7. The stories will be presented to a live audience in conjunction with the 5th class.
Facilitating the class will be Ms. Kim Revay. Kim has degrees from BCCC and the University of Pittsburgh, where she obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing.
Cost is $50, which must be paid in advance by mailing your check to Iron Horse Theatre, 348 Maplewood Ave. Ambridge, PA 15003. Class size is limited to 10, and is filling rapidly, so don’t delay!
