Sewickley Academy’s Senior School Refugee Awareness Club (RAC) presents the Sundance award-winning film, This Is Home, in partnership with Hello Neighbor on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, from 6 – 8:30 p.m. in the Gregg Theater.

This is Home tells the story of four Syrian refugee families arriving in America and beginning to rebuild their lives. The film goes beyond the statistics, headlines, and political rhetoric to tell deeply personal stories, putting a human face on the global refugee crisis.

The screening is free and open to the public. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction to win Penguin tickets or an outfit from Spoiled Chics. Donations collected will benefit Hello Neighbor, a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit organization committed to supporting recently resettled refugee families by matching them with dedicated neighbors to guide and support them in their new lives.
