Congratulations to Sewickley Academy junior Luke Tyson who is now ranked number one in the nation after placing second at a national debate tournament at Princeton University the first weekend in December! Luke competes in a community for Congressional Debaters called The CONGRESS (Congressional Overview of National and Global Ratings, Events, and Speech System) Index. According to the organization’s website the system uses Tournament of Champions Qualifying (TOC) Bid tournaments by assigning them point values. Then, based on performance, competitors are given a share of the total point value from how far they advance.

Keep up the good work, Luke!
