Rotary Club of Quaker Valley seeking new members

Over the past 30+ years, the Rotary Club of Quaker Valley has had the privilege of serving all 11 municipalities that comprise the Quaker Valley School District.

Throughout the years, our Club has planted an Arbor Day tree in all 11 municipalities, sponsored both the Halloween parade and the Santa Parade, collected for the Salvation Army during the Santa Parade, participated in the distribution of dictionaries for third graders in the Quaker Valley school system and St. James School, and in conjunction with the Sewickley Kiwanis, sponsored the annual Harvest Festival.  Our largest service project is the Student of the Month Awards and Receptions.  We are proud to have provided over $70,000 in awards to over 140 youths.

We currently have 11 active members and are currently seeking new members to join our Club, as it is a rewarding experience by giving back to this wonderful community.

We are constantly brainstorming new events that we could sponsor and/or perform for the residents in the Quaker Valley region.  If you are interested in community service, we meet at the Plum Street Park pavilion located in Fair Oaks during the spring and summer and at the Sewickley Speakeasy during the fall and winter.  Meetings begin at 6:15 Thursday evenings.  The pavilion is large enough for us to practice social distancing during these difficult times.

If there are any questions, please feel free to email Wayne Hyjek at  We look forward to meeting you.
