Quaker Valley Class of 1973 presents
“The Long and Winding Road”
A Memorial Celebration of Our Journey Together
Saturday, July 21, 2018
2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The Sewickley United Methodist Church
337 Broad Street
Sewickley, PA 15143

The roads of our hometown, so unique they defy today’s high-tech navigation systems. Blackburn’s serpentine switchbacks . . . Centennial’s straight diversity . . . First’s hidden potential . . . Dawson’s river view. Such a quirky network of byways confuses many a visitor to our valley.

Are you looking for Chestnut Street in Sewickley or Chestnut Road in Edgeworth? You want Pony Hollow? Pink House?

The mystifying mix of blacktop and gravel rolls rather easily for us, though, natives of our scattered and far-flung district. Back in the day, we tooled around such long and winding roads with the ease of youth.

And even as old-school alumni, checking in from wherever our personal journey has carried us, we all still remember the way home.

The Quaker Valley Class of 1973 invites you to come-on back for a typical high school reunion with a touch of the bittersweet. Our keynote event centers on remembering with a memorial service, repass-style, that recalls and honors the classmates who have gone ahead of us.

A reception follows immediately after the service in the Simpson Room.

The service is open to all – classmates, family, friends, community. So plan to get on the road this summer and join us. Just ditch the GPS!

Friday night social, July 20: Slippery Mermaid, 7PM -?

Sat night social at Mike’s Place, Leetsdale, 7pm – ??
