Swimming in the GAPA pool was once a popular pastime for families. Situated at the corner of Sevin and Turkeyfoot roads, the pool was originally part of Boy Scout Camp Umbstaetter, which operated for 25 years before the property was purchased in 1949 by the Ambridge Greek American Progressive Association for use as a recreational park. The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy later acquired the property and transferred it to Bell Acres Borough for use as green space. The pool site is now a vacant lot in the Bell Acres Nature Park.
