Tuesday, August 21, 2018 | 3:26 PM
On Saturday, August 25th from 6:30-9 p.m. at the Sewickley Heights Golf Club, “50 Fabulous Cooks,” a smorgasbord style event, will occupy the entire second floor of the Club.
Volunteer cooks include men, women and couples, hailing primarily from Sewickley, who have a passion for humanity.
Among the cooks are prominent figures, such as Dr. Paul Szabolcs, Chief of Division of Blood and Marrow Transplantation at Children’s Hospital; and David Sculey, former president and CEO of H.J. Heinz.
The fabulous cooks are also raising money in “tips” to support a local Sewickley charity: Samaritan Counseling, Guidance, Consulting. Samaritan provides faith-based psychological counseling to people from all faiths, ages, and backgrounds, serving more than 2,000 people annually.
One of the cooks, Art Bomberger, VP Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley, shares: “Samaritan is an outstanding organization that has positively impacted thousands of lives for the past 36 years. I urge everyone to support Samaritan.”
The event is open to the public. Admission is $50. Sponsored by Dollar Bank.
