BeeKeeping 101 at Fern Hollow Nature Center

Join FHNC on February 2nd from 8:30am to 4:30pm for Beekeeping 101.  This classroom based course offers beginning beekeepers an introduction to honey bee biology and beekeeping basics.  This class will be taught by a Master Beekeeper and President of PA State Beekeepers Assocation, Steve Repasky.  The course will cover honey bee castes, races, pests,and diseases, beekeeping equipment, and seasonal management.  If you are interested in starting your own hive, this class is for you.  All registrants will receive a packet of reference materials on topics covered in the class.  Registrations done by February 1st will also receive the text book Honey Bee Biology and Beekeeping.   Registration is required and the course is $115 per person.  Attendees are asked to bring a water bottle and their own lunch.  For more information or to register call 412.741.6136 or visit www.fhnc.org.
