Are parental rights declining in Pennsylvania?

Tuesday, October 1, 2019 | 2:51 PM

Join us Sunday, Oct 6, 2-4 at Blueberry Hill Park on Blaine’s Way in Sewickley, Pa.

Proposed legislation on mandatory depression screening will be discussed by panelist Lois Kaneshiki.  Lois has been a political activist for over 20 years. She is the mother of two adult daughters, whom she home-schooled for part of their K-12 schooling. She gave up full-time career ambitions to be a stay-at-home mom.

In 2014, she was one of many parents, mostly mothers, who spoke at the public Pennsylvania Board of Education meeting to argue against adopting the Common Core education standards.

She has spoken to groups in 14 of Pennsylvania’s counties to educate citizens on why it is so important to get involved directly with your local political parties and how to do it. She is currently president of the Blair County Republican Women, and was chair of the Blair County Republican Committee from 2016-2018.
