After Harriet opening screenings: Community conversation

Harriet and the special events offered alongside screenings to highlight local Underground Railroad History with information, Director Kasi Lemmons has noted how much she learned in the process of filming Harriet, and the film has provided many learning opportunities, offered along with the New Brighton Historical Society, Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Little Beaver Historical Society, Washington County Historical Society, author and historian Dr. Thomas Mainwaring of Washington & Jefferson College, and author and expert in the African American Experience, Dr. Autumn Redcross of Point Park University.
Anticipating that Harriet also has retrieved memories and sparked discussion, the theater invites all to share stories and recollections, documented or undocumented, on Monday, Nov. 4, starting at 3:15 p.m.
