Tapas Talks: A New Speakers Series for Friends and Neighbors
Please join us for Tapas Talks, an exciting new speaker series highlighting outstanding talent and achievements of individuals in the community. The series mission is to inform, inspire, connect and engage the Sewickley community.
Enjoy tapas while socializing with friends, neighbors, colleagues and new acquaintances before each lecture. The conversation continues afterwards with dessert, coffee and tea. All of this, plus valet parking is included in the series ticket price of $105 per person. There will be a cash bar. The series package includes admission to all three evenings: October 24, 2019, January 30, 2020 and April 23, 2020.
The first event, scheduled for October 24, 2019 at the Edgeworth Club features Dr. Chris Howard, President, Robert Morris University who will discuss how demographics are not destiny: Five Ways RMU is Bucking the Trend.
Ms. Christina Cassotis, CEO, Allegheny County Airport Authority will speak about the terminal modernization program for the Pittsburgh International Airport at the January 30, 2020 event to be held at Allegheny Country Club.
The series wraps up with a talk given on April 23, 2020 at the Edgeworth Club by Benjamin Mantica, Co-Founder and Co-CEO, The Galley Group. Mr. Mantica will discuss how chef-operators can run their own businesses for low-risk and low-cost in Galley Group provided space. Nicholas Ambeliotis, owner of Mediterra Café and Barbara McKenna, owner of Hyeholde restaurant will join Mr. Mantica for a panel discussion.
