• The church has announced that during the 11 a.m. worship service Nov. 24, the word will be sung rather than proclaimed via the spoken word. Part I, better known as the Christmas portion, of Georg Frederic Händel’s well-known oratorio “Messiah” will be presented. Performers include the church’s Chancel Choir, soprano Anna Singer, mezzo-soprano Xiu-ru Liu, tenor Colin Farley, baritone Raymond Blackwell, organist C. William Goff, and members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. The performance will be conducted by the church’s director of Music Ministries, Craig Dobbins.
