Osborne 4th grader competing in Pa State Gymnastics championship

Harper Sipes, a 4th grader at Osborne Elementary school, will be competing at the PA State Gymnastics championships in York, Pennsylvania March 9-10. The event will cap off a very strong gymnastics season for Harper, who will also be competing to qualify for the Regional Championships in April. Harper represents the Pittsburgh Northstars Gymnastics Club.

Quaker Valley boys win Moon Township tournament

The 11-year-old boys from Quaker Valley Softball Baseball won the Moon Township baseball tournament this past weekend. They played strong throughout the tournament and finished with a 3-0 victory against Cranberry. Head coach is Scott Cindrich; assistant coaches are Kevin Santelli, Jason Richey, Matt Straka and Mike Wagoner.

10 year old QV Team Starts Strong at Moon Twp. Tournament

The 10 year old baseball team from Quaker Valley had a strong start at the weekend’s baseball tournament with wins over Moon, Avella, and Cranberry and a tie with Upper St. Clair. The boys fell short, however, in the semi finals to Cranberry 8-10. Cranberry ended up defeating Upper St. Clair in the finals 9-7.
