Sewickley, Avonworth, Coraopolis and Moon historical societies plan joint dinner

Sewickley Valley Historical Society will host a joint dinner with Avonworth, Coraopolis and Moon Township historical societies Jan. 29 at the Edgeworth Club.

The event will feature 21st-century members of the League of Most Interesting Gentlemen presenting first-person interpretations of Thomas Jefferson and Albert Gallatin.

Attendees will have the chance to talk with historical reenactors Tom Pitz and Ron Duquette as they discuss important events, including the Louisiana Purchase and the Treaty of Ghent.

Cash bar opens at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:15 and the program at 7:30. Tickets are $40 per person and include three main course options.

The deadline for reservations is Jan. 22.
