Recently retired Sewickley Borough Manager Kevin Flannery is serving as Oakmont’s interim manager.

Flannery is helping Oakmont as its searches for a new borough manager and finalizes its 2019 budget.

Flannery, of Ambridge, started Nov. 27 and plans to serve through the end of January.

“I think it’s a great occupation,” he said after Oakmont’s Dec. 3 council workshop meeting. “Sewickley was a nice town. Oakmont, with what they need me to do, I think I can help them out.”

Outgoing Oakmont Manager Lisa Cooper Jensen resigned after working for the borough in several capacities since 1986. Nov. 21 was her last day in the office.

Flannery said his focus is on the budget, which does not include a tax increase, and the borough manger search.

Council President William Benusa welcomed Flannery to Oakmont and introduced him to meeting attendees.

“We are deeply appreciative for his professionalism in getting us through this time,” Benusa said. “We recognized his professionalism and experience right off the bat.”
