Hello, Sewickley, and happy Mother’s Day!
Mother’s Day spending is expected to total a record $25 billion this year, up from $23.1 billion in 2018, according to an annual survey released by the National Retail Federation. Eighty-four percent of adults in the U.S. are expected to celebrate in honor of their mothers and other women in their lives.
According to the survey, consumers ages 35-44 are likely to spend the most on mom, at an average of $248.
The most common gift is a greeting card, followed by flowers and a special outing or meal.
Here’s to moms!
