Hello, Sewickley!

While this time of year often makes most people think of those less fortunate, some organizations are dedicated to helping them all year long.

Colleen McKerley of Light of Life Rescue Mission will speak to the Senior Men’s Club at the Sewickley Valley YMCA this morning to share the story of how the organization has revitalized the many lives of people in the Pittsburgh community.

Located on the North Side, Light of Life Rescue Mission provides food and shelter, comprehensive recovery programs, education and employment training, life skills counseling, and other services to the many people in our region who suffer from homelessness and addiction problems.

Coffee and doughnuts will be served at 9 a.m.; the program begins at 10.

The social club is open to all senior men, meets weekly and includes speakers and social events. Interested folks are invited to come to a meeting as a guest for the day. Anyone interested in joining can contact Roni Vilseck at 412-741-9622 ext. 112 or [email protected]
