• Rob Rogers, the nationally syndicated cartoonist, will speak, show cartoons and answer questions about his work at 6 p.m. May 28. He will also discuss and sign his new cartoon collection “Enemy of the People.” Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door.

• The monthly children’s liturgy is scheduled for 10 a.m. May 26. Young parishioners will assist with the readings, the prayers and the singing, and will receive a special children’s sermon.

• The Rev. Regis Smolko leads a Bible study at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays.

• Being a Modern Epsicopalian, held Mondays at 11 a.m., is an informal weekly conversation on the issues confronting Christians today.

• Dr. Theresa Farnan will be the guest speaker at St. Mary & St. James’ Veritas Speaker Series. She will speak on “Truth and Tolerance: Raising Catholic Children in a Post-Christian World.” The talk will begin at 7 p.m. May 17 at St. James, followed by a cheese and wine reception.
