Around town: Ballet at Sewickley’s Tull theater

Wednesday, August 7, 2019 | 6:00 AM

Hello, Sewickley,

West Point Ballet students will perform at the Tull Family Theater starting at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

The facility, located in Coraopolis, was founded by Cuban-born Cynthia Castillo and Damien Martinez, who danced with the National Ballet of Cuba, then in Florida, South Carolina and with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.

Their students will present pieces and variations learned over the past few months in their annual Summer Showcase. The free performance allows the community to stop in for an introduction to ballet in a relaxed environment and to enjoy the 45-minute show.
